Program details

Build strength, stamina, and movement skills gradually. Foundation is for people starting or returning to training, and for regular lifters who want to work on their endurance and movement too.

Practice the basics, then build on them over time. You can return to the program after time away or whenever you want to work on those basics again.

Foundation comes in an 8-week and a 12-week option. The schedule and workouts for both will be confirmed before launch.

Build on regular strength and cardio training with more challenging strength, endurance, and power work.

For people already training their strength, endurance, and movement skills. Expect more challenging work and more practice producing strength quickly, through movements such as jumping.

You do not need to be an elite athlete. Your current training matters more than your age.

Beast builds fitness you can take into your next goal. A marathon, HYROX event, or other competition would still need its own preparation.

From overwhelmed to a clear starting point

My experience with Coach Caleb gave me confidence and clarity on where and how to have a sustainable program. He listens to my needs and challenges me appropriately.

Holly Valenzuela

Confidence to lift with better form

We worked on form, we worked on trust, and eventually I learned to trust myself, most of the time, that I could do the work without hurting myself.

Stacy Trujillo

Getting stronger at 56

Six months later, I now work out three hours a week, twice with him and once on my own. I’m blown away by the amount of progress I’ve made, and I would not have been able to do it without Caleb’s guidance, knowledge, and dedication.

Chuck Garner

From winging it to a consistent routine

The biggest change is consistency. I actually show up now, and I look forward to it. I used to walk in without a plan; now I have a structured routine, so I know exactly what I’m doing before I even get there.

Ezra Koch

Rebuilding strength after pregnancy

I’ve improved my endurance, overall strength, and, most importantly, my confidence in diving back into fitness during this second postpartum journey. I highly recommend Caleb’s personal training!

Miko R.

New personal bests with training that adapts

I set new PRs on all three of the big three lifts. My deadlift, bench, and squat all went up significant amounts based on staying within what I knew.

Holly Valenzuela’s full review

Holly’s complete answers to Caleb’s interview questions, shown in full.

Question 1: What was the frustration you were having before you started working with me?
Lack of knowledge and consistency on how to get started and make progress on my goals.
Question 2: What was it like to have that frustration all that time? What did it feel like?
My frustration was creating stress, self-doubt and made me feel very defeated. I wanted to become healthier, but was so overwhelmed with where to start I delayed starting and gave up.
Question 3: What about your experience with me was different?
My experience with Coach Caleb gave me confidence and clarity on where and how to have a sustainable program. He listens to my needs and challenges me appropriately. Coach Caleb is so patient and encouraging it makes the “workout” and healthy changes easy!!
Question 4: Do you remember the moment that you knew this was going to work?
Everytime Coach Caleb reminds me to make myself a priority, how far I’ve come and what I am capable of I know “this” works because I trust his expertise and it only bolsters my discipline.
Question 5: What is it like now since you know it is going to work OR what is it like now that your problem is resolved completely?
I have never been more consistent and less stressed working with Coach Caleb and I feel grateful for the movements, strength and joy I find in making my health a priority.

Thank you Coach Caleb for always being there for me and providing beyond technical expertise along with a kind and inspiring partnership!!

FULL REVIEW

Stacy Trujillo’s full review

Stacy’s answers to Caleb’s interview questions. Edited for punctuation.

Question 1: What was the frustration you were having before you started working with me?
My frustration was pain. Something always seemed to be aching or hurting. I struggled mostly with left shoulder pain and left sciatica pain.
Question 2: What was it like to have that frustration all that time? What did it feel like?
It was very frustrating to constantly be aching. I was working out regularly and trying to take care of my body as best as I could. It didn’t seem to be helping. In fact, I gave up some of the group fitness classes I was taking as it was getting too hard on my body. That was even more frustrating as some of the classes I was taking I enjoyed, but my body hurt too much during the exercise or afterwards.
Question 3: What about your experience with me was different?
My experience working with you was taking a different approach. We started with focusing on mobility. Something I had not done before. Also making sure I was doing my exercises correctly with good form. Any time I was in discomfort, we adjusted that exercise accordingly.
Question 4: Do you remember the moment that you knew this was going to work?
I don’t remember the exact moment. I know it was early on in our sessions that I knew I was in good hands. I was so scared to lift and even more scared to lift heavy. I was scared of hurting myself all the time in the beginning. Working out on my own I seemed to always end up hurt, so I was very hesitant. We worked on form, we worked on trust, and eventually I learned to trust myself, most of the time, that I could do the work without hurting myself. And again, anytime anything caused me discomfort, we modify the movement.
Question 5: What is it like now since you know it is going to work OR what is it like now that your problem is resolved completely?
I have more trust in my ability. Of course I am still hesitant doing new exercises or going heavier on a weight. I just have more knowledge on how to do the exercises correctly. Having this knowledge, and a camera, helps keep me in good form and keeps me from hurting myself. I still have aches and pains, but not like before. Since working with you, I have better knowledge on mobility and keeping my achy body parts running smoothly.
Question 6: Did you have any concerns with starting remote coaching? Has that changed after experiencing it? If yes, how so?
Yes, I had concerns with working out remotely. My biggest fear was just that: working out on my own. There is a comfort in working one on one when you were watching my form or spotting me on heavier lifts. Even the verbal encouragement was beneficial. I don’t mind working out on my own now. It offers me more flexibility with my time and when I work out. With that said, I still think there is a comfort with 1 on 1 personal training. But I am learning to be confident with the couple years of training you did give me and put that in practice on my own.

What made you seek out a coach?

I might find it difficult to put into words how much Caleb Greig has meant to me. At 56 years old, I was finding my strength and flexibility decreasing with each passing year, and I knew it was time for a change. I’ve worked out with different trainers in the past, but they all seemed to have preset plans that didn’t meet my needs.

How did Caleb approach your goals?

For my age, my goals were simple: increase balance, flexibility, and strength. Caleb took the time to listen and, most importantly, started me off slowly so I wouldn’t hurt myself, something I’d been prone to do.

What changed after six months?

Six months later, I now work out three hours a week, twice with him and once on my own. I’m blown away by the amount of progress I’ve made, and I would not have been able to do it without Caleb’s guidance, knowledge, and dedication.

What was training like before Caleb?

Before working with Caleb, I had no formal training background. I hadn’t exercised in a long time, and when I did get to the gym, I honestly didn’t know what to work on or how to structure a session, I was just kind of winging it.

What was different about coaching?

Training with Coach Caleb has been great. He’s patient and understanding, especially given my lower back injury, and he’s helped me build real confidence in the gym. He’s taught me how to move in ways that help me avoid injury and how to recognize which muscle groups I’m actually working, which I never paid attention to before.

What changed in your routine?

The biggest change is consistency. I actually show up now, and I look forward to it. I used to walk in without a plan; now I have a structured routine, so I know exactly what I’m doing before I even get there. I’ve also started tracking and monitoring my performance, which has turned into something I genuinely want to keep improving. I catch myself wanting to beat my last numbers.

How did training fit life after pregnancy?

After my second pregnancy, I knew I wanted to prioritize movement. Caleb worked with me to tailor a program that fit my goals and accommodated life with two little ones, while also taking into consideration maintaining my milk supply while breastfeeding.

What was it like to return to strength training?

I had primarily prioritized walking and hadn’t done any significant strength training since my second trimester. Caleb gradually intensified the program, which helped build my confidence, strength, and endurance.

Did the plan fit your day-to-day life?

He is communicative, thoughtful, and flexible. I was especially impressed by how he proactively noticed trends and checked in to make sure the program fit my actual life, not just my aspirational one.

What changed for you?

I’ve improved my endurance, overall strength, and, most importantly, my confidence in diving back into fitness during this second postpartum journey. I highly recommend Caleb’s personal training!

Questions added as a reading guide. The answers are the client’s own words.

What kept interrupting your progress?

Prior to working out with Caleb, my workout routine basically consisted of whatever big three lifts I could find and YouTube personalities who were doing those lifts. I would follow their videos, and then I would get hurt. Getting hurt meant I would stop working out, and my progress would stop. It wouldn’t be, “I’m going to take a week off.” It would be, “I’m going to take the next few months off,” because it felt catastrophic. I didn’t want to push it and make it worse. It was consistently one or two steps forward while I was training, then ten steps back.

Could the workouts adapt to your limitations?

When I first met Caleb, we went through my injuries. I have a bad shoulder that’s really hard to work on because of a shoulder surgery that went wrong, and I consistently have lower back issues. When I’m good, I’m fine. I can work out in certain ways; the only thing I can’t do is a pull-up. Caleb was able to tailor my workouts around that limitation.

How did Caleb adjust training when you had setbacks?

Whenever I did get hurt because I pushed myself too hard, wasn’t fueled correctly, or didn’t warm up correctly, he was able to modify our training so I could stay consistent. I could work out around the problem while also working out in a way that helped the injury get better faster because I was staying active rather than sitting around. Sitting around had been my problem in the past. As good as it felt not to hurt myself, sitting around was probably the worst thing I could do.

Last year, I was dealing with a nagging back injury for probably the better part of six months. He was able to tailor workouts around my back while slowly building it back up and keeping movement through it, so it didn’t get worse or stop progressing.

As I was doing workouts at the gym where he works, he would come up with a strategy for that day’s workout on the days I saw him. He’d say, “You’re doing this, so try these modifications instead. That’s going to be effective for you. You’re still going to see progress, and it’s going to keep you within a safe realm for your back and what you can do right now.”

What progress did you notice?

Because of that, sneakily enough, when I did get better, all of my personal records jumped up. We were able to stay within what my body could do, and everything around it was able to get stronger. Once the part that had been injured was back to 100%, that had also gotten stronger through whatever witchcraft he’s able to work.

I set new PRs on all three of the big three lifts. My deadlift, bench, and squat all went up significant amounts based on staying within what I knew.

How would you describe his coaching?

His ethos is “movement is medicine,” and he keeps you moving safely while you’re injured. It’s not even necessarily an injury. If you’re not as strong in certain lifts, he’ll work around that and make it so you sneakily get good at those lifts again.

He’s very good at speaking to people at different skill levels and working magic with whatever it is you can do.

BEFORE YOU START

A few good
questions.

Which program should I choose?

Foundation is for starting, restarting, or making your training more balanced. Beast builds on regular strength, endurance, and movement training with more challenging work. Choose one-on-one coaching if you want Caleb to build and adjust the plan with you.

View programs
Is there anyone these programs are not right for?

The self-guided programs are written once for everyone who follows them, so they cannot take account of your particular situation. If you are managing a current injury, are pregnant or postpartum, or have a condition that calls for specialized care, talk with a qualified health professional first. Caleb would rather you get guidance suited to you than start a plan that does not fit your needs.

One-on-one coaching is different: Caleb builds the training around you, and he can work within whatever your health professional has cleared you for. It is still training, not medical care, and it does not replace it.

About one-on-one coaching
What's the difference between 8 and 12 weeks?

Both The Foundation Program and The Beast Program have an 8-week option and a 12-week option, so there are four choices in all. Caleb will confirm how the workouts differ before launch.

How will I use my program?

Your program is planned as an app you open in your web browser, holding your workouts, Caleb’s exercise videos, and a private record of the training you log. It is not built yet. When it is ready, you will open it from trainwithcaleb.com.

You will also be able to add it to your phone’s home screen so it opens in one tap. On an iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, choose Open as Web App if that option is offered, then tap Add (Apple’s instructions). On Android, open it in Chrome, open the browser menu, choose Add to Home Screen or Install, then follow the prompts (Google’s instructions).

How long access lasts, and the refund terms, will be confirmed before the programs go on sale.

Do I need to book a call to buy a program?

The Foundation Program and The Beast Program are planned as self-service purchases. Both are marked coming soon, and purchasing is not open yet. The discovery call is for one-on-one online coaching.

What can I book right now?

The free 25-minute discovery call for one-on-one online coaching. That calendar is live, so the time you choose is really held and your confirmation email carries the video link.

Buying a program and booking the paid 60-minute call are not open yet. Both are marked coming soon here, and this page will say so until they are ready.
